In 2023 the world was experiencing a global energy crisis with unprecedented reach and magnitude. At the same time, however, net zero commitments and security concerns were accelerating investment in clean energy development globally. This year’s Global Summit focused on how women are leading through this paradigm shift in the energy sector.

The energy industry is at a critical inflection point. The global transition to low-carbon power faces macroeconomic and political headwinds. At this year’s Summit we heard perspectives from the female leaders around the world who are behind the policies and commercial deals driving the transition in these turbulent times.

The theme of this year’s summit was Global Trends: Lessons learned from Executive Women leading the Energy Transition. The Summit featured over 100 leading female energy executives from around the world. Building on the success of the 2018 Summit, the event covered the latest trends and issues impacting the energy industry, highlighting the role of women in the transformation of the sector.

The theme of this year’s Summit was Transformations Across the Energy Sector: How women are Driving Innovation and Disrupting in a Century-old Industry. The day had an impressive line-up of speakers, with over 70 of the world’s leading female energy executives from ten countries participating. We heard about the latest trends and issues impacting the energy industry and talked about the transformation of the sector.
